Role: IT Support Technician
Location: Nottingham, NG1
Salary: 24-25k
Type: Permanent
Hours: Mon - Friday 40 hours, onsite

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to join a growing client in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to analyse issues to ensure optimal performance of IT services across the organisation.

What you will be doing

• Provide first-line support for IT-related queries and issues via phone, email, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Manage and configure firewalls to ensure network security.
• Manage and resolve IT support tickets within agreed SLAs
• Support and maintain Office 365 applications and SharePoint environments
• Assist with user account management and access control
• Perform regular system updates and security patches
• Assist in IT equipment deployment and asset management
• Support Salesforce integrations with other business systems

What we are looking for

• Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network configurations.
• Familiarity with firewall management and security best practices.
• Knowledge of Salesforce would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
• Skills in analysing problems systematically to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Keen interest in emerging technologies
