Role: Technical Test Engineer
Location: Nottingham - Onsite
Salary: £35k - £38k DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday - Early finish Friday 1pm
Type: Permanent
An established Manufacturing business are looking for an experienced Technical Test Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
We are looking for someone who has the following experience and qualifications:

• An in depth understanding of Electronics to diagnose and repair complex PCB's
• Operating technical apparatus - oscilloscope, signal generator etc
• Hand soldering skills - 'through-hole' and SMD
• Competent with Microsoft based programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Technical Engineering certificate e.g. City & Guilds or relevant industry experience - A minimum of 3 years' experience with public address equipment or similar environment

What we are looking for:

• Ability to understand and follow detailed circuit diagrams
• Diagnosis and repair of multilayer PCBs to component level, including some SMD rework 0603/0805/16 pin IC's - A high level of hand soldering is a pre-requisite to the role.
• Basic understanding of networking systems
• Basic understanding of software
• Working with a variety of mains voltages
• Completing product and system test procedures and documentation.
• Ability to resolve issues during testing
• Work within strict timescales and scheduling ensuring that all equipment is ready for customer presentation or dispatch
• Preparation and conducting of 'Factory Acceptance Tests' - which may involve customer facing.
• Following and contributing to the company quality system in respect of the role and work area.
• Remotely support site service engineers during office hours
• Any additional duties as deemed appropriate by the Operations Manager
